How to Make Your Room Cosy and Cute for Autumn

9 November 2015

Hello everyone today I thought I'd do a quick post just showing you a few simple ways to make your room more cosy for Autumn!

1. Fairy lights

Fairy lights are a great way to add mood lighting and make your room feel a lot more cosy. You can often find really cute designs at a really reasonable price. The set I featured in this post are from primark and only cost me £3!

2. Photo wall

Creating a photo wall is great for all year round because you can swap out your photos depending on the season. I think this looks especially cute in autumn as you can take your own photos or print them off of tumblr/we heart it.

If you don't want to make the commitment of sticking photos straight to your wall, (which may leave a few marks if you use Blu Tack, just a heads up) you can always add your photos to a deep set box like I did. I got mine from the Range at a fairly cheap price, and then just painted it.

3. Fluffy blankets

Fluffy blankets are just ESSENTIAL for this time of year. To be honest, I get quite cold all year around you'll usually find a few blankets lurking in my room even in the summer, but I feel like in autumn/winter there's no excuse for not having a few cosy blankets strewn around your room. They're also a great way to add texture to your room if you want to make it more homely.

The majority of my blankets are from Dunelm but I know Primark also do some really nice, fluffy ones at a really affordable price.

You should all know by now that I have a slight candle obsession, and I feel this definitely intensifies during the colder months. Walk in my room and you'll probably spot at least 5 Yankee Candles lit in my room, and that's just on my desk!

Candles - especially fragranced - are a great way to make your room more cosy as a nice scent to your room is definitely very inviting. My personal favourites for this time of year from Yankee Candle include - Red apple wreath, Soft blanket, and Silver birch.

So those are all of my tips for making your room more cosy and cute this autumn. Hopefully this gave some of you a few ideas if you're thinking about making your room more cosy this season.
