February Empties! Trialed and Tested

3 March 2014

Hello my lovelies! Can you believe it's March already?! The year's going so fast! Now that February's over, it's time to review this months empties! I've loved all these products, but I probably won't be re-buying them, as I like to try out new products, but if you haven't tried them out, I recommend them!

(Left to Right)
Hold me curl hairspray, Batiste dry shampoo, Impulse love puzzle,
Nivea eye makeup remover, Nivea soft moisturiser, Rimmel match perfection foundation

1. Umberto Giannini - Hold me curl hairspray

This is a really nice hair spray for when your curling your hair and want a nice hold hairspray to keep those curls in place all day. Now, for me, as my hair is naturally straight, I don't curl my hair too much because of the heat damage, but when I do this is an essential if I want my curls to last me all day. I also find this hairspray doesn't leave your hair feeling horrible and hard, but also stops the curls from falling and going frizzy. I also think you get really good value for such a big can, because it's lasted me over 6 months!

2. Batiste dry shampoo - Hint of colour, medium brunette

I mentioned this product earlier in my top 5 hair essentials and I absolutely love this product. If you're in a bit of a rush, or are out on the go, a dry shampoo is perfect, especially batiste. These kinds of shampoos leave your hair looking and feeling fresh and also leaves it smelling lovely! If you aren't interested in a colour tinted shampoo there are also plenty of scents to chose from.

3. Impulse - Love puzzle, body fragrance

I really love the Impulse range. The body sprays are really nice and inexpensive, and keep you smelling lovely all day. My favourite of the range so far, is the limited edition Love puzzle body spray. This scent is quite sweet but almost spicy at the same time. It's a really unique scent that's hard to describe! You'll just have to go get it for yourself and see what I mean! I also really love the packaging, and if this is limited edition, then I'll have to stock up!

4. Nivea extra gentle eye makeup remover

This is one of the few products I will constantly be re-buying! This eye makeup remover is one of the best I've ever used; It's strong enough to remove any mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, etc. whilst also being gentle to your skin to ensure minimal aggrivation.

5. Nivea soft moisturising cream

This moisturiser is a great everyday cream for when your face just needs some moisture restoring! Containing Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E, this refreshing cream is also great for your skin. This is available from most highstreet drugstores and only costs 1 to 2 pounds!

I have recently switched from this product to a more specialist cream. I do suffer from very dry sensitive skin, so for me, the Nivea soft wasn't really doing enough for my skin (however, it should be great for normal skin) I now use the E45 intensive recovery moisturising cream for very dry skin. This is also specially formulated for sensitive skin and within the past few weeks I have noticed what a difference it makes. My face no longer gets dry a few hours after applying moisturiser, and after applying morning and night my face and arms are reaping the benefits!

5. Rimmel match perfection radiance foundation - 010, light porcelain

Suprise suprise the Rimmel foundation is back! I've been raving about this foundation for months and I still am. What with the hydrating properties, excellent coverage and amazing range in shades and colours, what's not to love? I also mentioned this product in my 2013 favourites...I have now changed to one shade darker to 011, classic ivory which suits my skintone much better.

Well, that's all my empties for this month. What products have you used up last month? Will you be rebuying them? Let me know down in the comments.
