Cute Christmas Gift Wrapping Ideas!

25 November 2013

Since it's a month today until Christmas (!) I decided to show you some unique ideas for wrapping your gifts for friends and family. This topic was asked for by Eve. If there's anything in particular you want to see let me know! I will do them in order of complexity

1) Christmas tree silhouette

 Christmas Tree Silhouette Wrap

This is a really simple (yet effective) design, and here is how it is done:
- Measure out the amount of wrapping paper you will need. You will need to wrap it twice with two sheets of different coloured paper (so you can see the under colour, in this case blue)
-On the top sheet of wrapping paper use a ruler to make neat creases  from a short side of the paper.
-On one half of this crease mark out the paper and cut out the outline of the tree. Do not fully cut the tree out.
-You should have the tree still attached near the crease- line. Simply fold it over here, and your done!

2) Button Gift Wrap

This button-stamped gift wrap is fun to make. Affix a button to a cork with double-sided tape. Place plain paper on a piece of felt or a folded piece of fabric (this cushions the paper so the mark will be even). Top with a pretty button tied on with baker's twine.

3) Woven Ribbon Wrap

Woven Ribbon Wrap

-begin the weaving with a single ribbon stretched across the top of the present, (you can tape the loose ends to the bottom with double sided tape)
-Continue adding a few more ribbons, inline to the ribbon you just placed. Alternate colors, widths, to keep it looking fun, but try to keep it simple!
-Next, weave the other ribbons the opposite way to the first. Follow the rhythm of over-under-over for one, then under-over-under for the next, and so on.

I hope that gave you guys a few ideas for your gifts this year and got you in the Christmassy spirit! If you enjoyed this post please let me know, and follow me while your there, it really helps me out ;)
